The export potential of Russian-Azerbaijani negotiations at the CO&Gas exhibition exceeded $20M

On June 2, the 28th International Exhibition Caspian Oil & Gas 2023 concluded, at which, with the support of the Russian Export Center, 39 Russian enterprises presented their products for the oil and gas industry.

In total, within the framework of the Caspian Oil&Gas exhibition, participants of the Made in Russia collective stand held more than 170 business meetings, the potential of which is estimated at more than $20 million. For example, following the results of the exhibition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between a Russian manufacturer of well injection equipment and one of the leading universities in Azerbaijan .

The number of foreign companies that took part in the negotiations was more than 20. Among them were gas and oil companies, research institutes, distributors and dealers of specialized equipment for the fuel and energy sector, manufacturers of high-tech products and more.

A collective exposition under the Made in Russia brand, the area of which exceeded 1,100 sq. m, became the largest in the last four years. At the Russian stands, visitors were able to get acquainted with domestic developments in the field of technologies, equipment, components, tools and automation for the oil and gas sector.

“Of course, all our brands are very well known on Azerbaijani soil. This year we brought new equipment, a new line of equipment. And we are pleased to observe quite a strong interest in Russian products both from large state-owned oil and gas companies and from oil and gas supply providers and suppliers to the oil and gas industry of Azerbaijan,” said Nuri Guliyev, head of the representative office of the Russian Export Center in Azerbaijan.

In 2023, Russian exhibitors brought a large number of unique equipment, machines and units to the exhibition. Of great interest to Azerbaijani companies were off-road trucks with a carrying capacity of up to 31 tons, unique amphibious equipment (airboats and all-/swamp vehicles) with a carrying capacity of up to 5 tons, as well as industrial turbines, cable and wire products, measuring and laboratory equipment for the fuel and energy complex, high-tech personal protective equipment from the most dangerous professional risks and much more.

Much attention at the exhibition was paid to the issues of digitalization and automation in the oil and gas industry, in which Russian companies are traditionally strong. Russian companies were able to offer their Azerbaijani partners effective technological solutions in the field of accounting and dispatching of industrial facilities, data storage and analysis, comprehensive automation of fuel and energy enterprises and other industries with a continuous technological cycle, and a number of other popular software products.

Let us remind you that the Caspian Oil & Gas 2023 exhibition opened in Baku on May 31. The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took part in the official opening ceremony of the exhibition. The Made in Russia exposition was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Azerbaijan, Mikhail Bocharnikov.
